- This is a huge building that realizes the ideals of the Russian avant-garde with its bold three-dimensional composition of bridges spanning the three fan-shaped city blocks surrounding the Freedom Square in Halkiu. Banham included this work on the cover of the first edition of "The First Machine Age" (1960) (the cover of the Japanese edition (1976) is Santeria).
