TSUCHIURA KEMEKI HOUSE PRESERVATION / RELOCATION

Outline
This is a relocation of a modernist house designed by architect Kameki Tsuchiura (completed in 1935) using the dry-frame wooden construction method. Damaged structural members and interior and exterior finishes were replaced with new materials. The skip-floor configuration, in which the space is continuous from the basement floor to the second floor, was reproduced.
