This is a two-story school building with a square plan of 9m x 3 spans, 30cm on each side, and an addition to the showa gakuin east building completed in 2011. the floor, walls, and roof are all constructed of 210mm clt. the roof is a clt folded roof with unidirectional plates in the strong-axis direction. the activity plaza between the classrooms serves as a base for children's play and activities.
