- This is the first three-story wooden elementary school in japan. the project was supported by the ministry of education, culture, sports, science and technology (mext), based on the partial revision of articles 21 and 27 of the building standards law, which made the construction possible. in order to use lumber from uozu city, a lumber procurement study meeting was held to understand the manufacturing system and procurement mechanism in the early stages of the project. eaves and gangi are also effective in preventing fire from spreading to upper floors.
