THE・PARKHOUSE KYOTOKAMOGAWAGOSHOHIGASHI

Outline
This 85-unit condominium faces the Kamo River. In consideration of the height restriction to protect the landscape and the surrounding townscape, the volume of the building is kept low. The building is divided into two sections, one along the Kamo River and the other on the Machiya side, and the structural form and eaves details are suited to the environment that each building faces. The walkway from the entrance to the dwelling units is a long approach space using a variety of materials such as plants, stones and wooden louvers, expressing the atmosphere of Kyoto.
