Outline
The reconstruction public housing was built in response to the damage caused by the Great East Japan Earthquake. The building was designed and constructed by Manabu Chiba Architectural Planning Office and Daiwa House Industry in collaboration with the private sector. The first floor has a pilotis and a street garden, which serve as a place for residents to interact and as a passageway to improve the circulation of the entire town.
