HOUSE AT NIHONBASHI - MUROMACHI

Outline
The project is located on a narrow plot of less than 10 tsubos in a back alley off the main street in Nihonbashi Muromachi, Chuo-ku, Tokyo. It stands in the midst of a jumble of buildings of various scales. The building is located in a district planning area for streetscape guidance, and is certified as having a shop on the ground floor, which allows for a five-story volume by relaxing the floor-area ratio and road diagonal restrictions. The interior is furnished with many materials that the client himself has stored in appropriate places.
