SPA VILLAGE HORIKAWA

Outline
This residential fee-based nursing home consists of a three-story fireproof wooden east wing (left), a three-story reinforced concrete center wing (middle), and a two-story semi-fireproof wooden west wing (right). This large-scale wooden facility was realized through a variety of innovations, including cost reduction by designating the west wing as quasi-fireproof (less than 3,000 m) with a reinforced concrete building in the center, the use of materials distributed for residential use, and a large span space using parallel string trusses.
