SUMITA TOWN OFFICE

Outline
Reconstruction of a 50-year-old government building. By consolidating the dispersed functions of the town hall, a one-stop service has become possible. The building is a two-story wooden structure with a longitudinal length of approximately 80 m. Using cedar wood and larch wood produced in the town, and using the traditional techniques of Kesen carpenters, the entire building aims to be a showroom for the wood of Sumida Town. High strength wooden lattice bearing walls are used.
