- Toshiba's office building at the west exit of Kawasaki Station. It is the core of Toshiba's smart community business for global expansion. The exterior area of the building was reduced to a rectangular volume that encompasses the maximum volume with the minimum exterior skin, minimizing the impact of external environmental factors such as solar radiation and temperature. The balconies on all four sides of the building house air-conditioning units and other equipment, as well as pipe shafts that are distributed so as to minimize horizontal routing on each floor.
