GINZA KABUKIZA

Outline
Reconstruction of the Kabuki-za Theater in Chuo Ward, Tokyo. The first Kabuki-za was built in 1889, and this is its fifth season. The design of the fourth phase was followed, and the building was rebuilt while retaining the existing features. The Kabuki-za Tower, which houses the offices, is mounted on a mega-truss above the theater. The site has been designated as a special urban revitalization zone, and the building will serve as a base for local events, such as the construction of an underground plaza, and as a disaster prevention base.
