AKITA CHILD EN NURSERY SCHOOL
TOSHIYA IZUMI / SUM CONCEPT DESIGN ARCHITECT
- Outline
- A single-story licensed daycare center located in a cold climate. The courtyard and the rooftop are used as the garden, and are rich in greenery. The rooftop and the courtyard are connected by a slide and two staircases, creating a circulation system. In the nursery, spaces for children from 0 to 5 years old are openly connected, and corners are divided according to their functions, such as a reading zone and a play zone. The corners are created by hanging furniture, plants, and canopies from the ceiling.
