Outline
Seismic retrofitting of high-rise residential complexes built between 1972 and 1975 (design: Otani Laboratory, 7211 and 7410 of this journal). This time, four municipal housing complexes were retrofitted. Taking advantage of the parallel layout of the housing complex, a skip-bracing earthquake-resistant construction method was adopted, in which braces are installed between two buildings to connect them. This method contributes to cost reduction and shortening of the construction period.
