This museum exhibits materials and artifacts related to the Haranotsuji Site, which is considered to be a representative historical site of the Yayoi period. It has one basement floor and four stories above ground. The roof, which resembles a mountain range, is green and is intended to blend in with the surroundings. It is the posthumous work of the late Kisho Kurokawa.
