Outline: Located at the western gate to the Minato Mirai 21 district of Yokohama, this elliptical research and development center is designed for customer co-creation. The "Green Hill" on the first floor, where the art space is located, and the third floor pedestrian deck level, which is connected to Yokohama Station, is open to the community as a public open space. On the standard floor, a 300-meter-long perimeter zone is used as a veranda space, with skip voids and an open pantry to provide a place for employees to interact with each other. An azimuth-following heat exhaust system and lighting control achieved a 35% reduction in CO2 emissions.
