GROUND FOLLY

Outline
A gazebo built in a park on the man-made island of Island City in Fukuoka City. It was realized through a workshop for students held under the auspices of Fukuoka City and the Graduate School of Human Environment, Kyushu University, with Toyo Ito and others serving as directors. The exterior walls are finished with scraped-off Hita clay. The interior contains various spaces of varying sizes.
