- This stadium is planned to be the main venue for the World Games to be held in Kaohsiung City, Taiwan in July 2009. Unlike conventional stadiums that tend to be closed off, this stadium opens up the spectator seats toward the main gate and is designed to be used in unison with the adjacent park. In addition to the trusses, a spiral structure of steel pipes is used to support the 8,800 solar panels on the roof covering the spectator seats.
