KAWAI-ARCHITECTSDAIKEN SEKKEI
Outline
A nine-story office building with one basement floor along Karasuma-dori in Kyoto City. The site is located near the intersection with Shijo Dori and is a Type 5 Aesthetic Improvement District. The structure is steel-framed. The exterior walls are clapboard panels made of non-combustible thinned local cedar wood, and the precast concrete eaves divide the wooden facade at intervals of 1560 mm.
