KENGO KUMA AND ASSOCIATES
- Outline
- The Opposite House, which stands in the north section of the building, is arranged in the shape of a "quadrangle" and refers to the "guest room" of the quadrangle. The exterior walls are constructed of tempered glass with ceramic-printed Chinese grid patterns using the SSG construction method. A stainless steel mesh hanging from the ceiling in the central atrium gently separates the public areas on the first floor from the guest rooms on the second to sixth floors. The South Tower in Minami-ku is a four-story commercial facility. The exterior walls are made of colored acrylic rods with a triangular cross section inserted between two sheets of glass.
