Outline: The building is located in a suburban area where residential and industrial facilities coexist. The first floor houses a hair salon, while the second floor serves as a residence; the second floor features a continuous row of floor-to-ceiling windows facing the street. These openings extend to the south-facing facade as well, creating a three-dimensional appearance. While maintaining a distinction between work and private life, the design establishes an interconnectedness that treats them as a single entity. The interplay of distance and proximity, light and shadow—and the overlapping of these contrasting elements—creates a sense of unity and depth in this residence that serves as both a home and a workplace.
