Outline: The site is located along a sloping residential street that descends from north to south; it faces a cul-de-sac on the east side, with an 820-millimeter elevation difference between the west and east sides. This natural elevation difference is incorporated into the design, allowing the interior rooms to unfold in a split-level configuration. The entrance and the east-side utility areas are located in the basement, and from there, the layout ascends to the living room, dining-kitchen, and private rooms.
