Outline: A home where the husband and wife each have their own workspace. A large maple tree stands in the center of the south-facing lot, and a single-story building extending east-west is situated to the north of it. Each room features a window offering a view of the maple tree, and the terrace provides a shaded space. Although the trees soften much of the sunlight at the windows during the day, shoji screens have been installed to provide shade, block light at night, and enhance thermal insulation.
