House in Shichiku

Outline
The site is a flagpole lot at the end of an alley, surrounded on all sides by neighboring houses. The rectangular plan was set at an angle to the site in order to preserve the existing garden. The first floor has deep eaves instead of deep eaves, and the ceiling height is kept as low as possible in order to block the view from the surroundings and to direct the attention to the garden.
