Outline: The first floor of a 53-year-old two-story wooden dormitory was converted into a shared office, and the second floor into a shared house. To create a sense of spaciousness in the interior of the densely built-up building, the floor plan was designed to open onto the east-west alley, and the removed partitions were reinforced with "string braces" made of string, which can be easily transported and installed, as well as guarantee line of sight. The string braces are thin and give a soft impression of interior design using textiles.
