House in Hase Ⅱ

Outline
Surrounded by mountains, houses, and temples, it stands on a crooked flagpole-shaped plot. The layout forms a U-shape, consisting of the main house, a detached building, and a terrace connecting them, with life centered around the enclosed courtyard. The first-floor hall features a semi-elliptical vaulted ceiling that softly envelops the space. This residence in the ancient capital is crafted with a variety of places to be scattered throughout—low ceilings, double-height spaces, and veranda-like areas.
