Outline: The house is located in a residential area that has been zoned for residential development. The "Uchinawa" with a large opening and a vaulted ceiling on the south side of the house creates a space between the exterior and interior. The living room and other rooms are arranged around the Uchiniwa. The earthen floor of the Uchiniwa stores heat from the sunlight in winter. At the top of the Uchiniwa is a tower house, and by opening the upper left opening, a passive system is realized to ventilate the house through the chimney effect. During the summer, this ventilation can be used to store cooling during the night.

Location
