House of Nothing
Takaharu+Yui Tezuka+Keiji Yabe/Tezuka Architects, Hirofumi Ohno/OHNOJAPAN
- Outline
- A house on a hill overlooking the sea. To reduce the overall height of the building, a large frame in the shape of a thick abstracted "L" was placed over the first floor, which was buried in the ground about 800mm above the ground. The dimensions of the frame are approximately 33m wide and 3m high, and all the sashes can be pulled to one side. The walls and ceiling are made of 20 x 20 mm square timbers arranged horizontally with a 1 mm gap between them, and the rectangular shape of the material is pointed.
