Around the Corner in Kugahara,

Sotaro Miyatake＋Tezzo Nishizawa

Outline: The house stands on the corner of a residential area. The original site was subdivided and the house was reconstructed, leaving the corner lot. The plan is symmetrical around the corner, with the most open area of the site located farthest from the busy intersection. A concrete block wall was placed on the boundary of the neighboring property, and two arcing firewalls were installed to create a large space that is integrated with the garden when relatives gather.
