Moto House
Ryosuke Motohashi+Tatsuro Miki
- Outline
- The designer's home is located on a plot of land that was inherited from his great-grandfather and divided into three lots over the generations. Located at the end of two roads on the north and east sides, the house has an earthen floor inside to connect the roads. In order to lower the eave height on the north side, which is subject to the elevated slopes, a mezzanine floor was created by digging down the water area on the first floor, from which the second floor is placed on the east and west sides facing the atrium, creating an almost one-room configuration.
