House in Ochiai

Outline: The house is built facing a dual carriageway on the west side and a private road on the east side. In order to realize a three-story building using the limited area from the basement level to the height limit line, the basement is half-underground, and the first floor is set at GL + 1,060 mm. Chilled and heated water pipes for frame thermal storage radiant heating and cooling are driven into the walls. Reinforced concrete slender beams of 100 mm wide x 450 mm thick (single-strand reinforcement) appear in a grid pattern on the floor and ceiling surfaces.
