Comfortable Gentle Air
Osamu Morishita Architect & Associates
- Outline
- Originally, only the main house with a tiled roof stood on the north side, and rich vegetation was growing in the garden on the south. A one-story addition was added there, extending from east to west in a gentle curve along the southern site boundary. The new building was built on stilts to allow air to flow through and not disturb the composition of the soil. The trees in the garden were retained as much as possible, and some were transplanted to carry on the atmosphere of the original garden.
