Ikushima Bunko
Atelier Bow-Wow
- Outline
- The house was designed as a work space for a couple who are both writers. The site is a flagpole entering from the south, and the house behind it is a flagpole entering from the north. Therefore, in order to create a loop corresponding to the southwest and northeast rods, two offset planes were arranged. The dents in the misaligned planes are under the eaves, and openings are gathered there. Inside, a skip floor connects the "book house" with bookshelves running through the upper and lower floors, and the "people house" with bedrooms, water, kitchen, and children's rooms.
