Residences in Ushiku

Outline
On the first floor, the LDK is integrated with the garden, and on the second floor, four rooms are arranged according to the client's requirements. the walls between the rooms on the second floor are 410mm wide voids surrounded by glass, which penetrate the roof and the floor. on the first floor, the sky can be seen through these voids, and the presence of people on the second floor can be felt. The mysterious existence of the void, which is neither a wall nor a vault, creates a sense of distance in this architecture, both in plan and in section, depending on the light.
