This museum was built on the site of the former residence of denzaburo fujita (1841-1912), a businessman of the meiji period. the original museum, which used the storehouse of the fujita residence, opened in 1954. the museum was reconstructed due to its age, and was opened to the surrounding park on the site of the former residence.
