Outline
Following the renovation of the Kurashiki Ivy Square (1811), the guest room building (the gray tiled roof facing east) was upgraded to be earthquake-resistant, and the water features were enhanced to meet the needs of inbound travelers and diversified guests. The existing brick walls were reinforced in the appropriate places based on the accumulated knowledge of conservation and renovation.
