CHILD CARE SUPPORT CENTER “NIKONAN”

Outline
A child welfare facility with a folded-plate roof made of 150-mm-thick CLT panels joined with metal fittings to form a single 23-m x 6-m sheet of wood, which also serves as a climbing beam, baseboard, and ceiling finish, creating a space without beams and girders. Normally, a single-story child welfare facility (with an area of 200 m2 or more) is subject to interior design restrictions and is required to use flame-retardant materials.
