This is a renovation of the first hotel built in Yokohama in 1927 for foreigners (design: Watanabe Hitoshi). The aim of the renovation was to preserve as much as possible the original appearance of the building. The sign on the rooftop of the main building was restored in the first phase of renovation in 2014, and in the second phase of renovation, the lobby and hall spaces are being reinforced and repaired.
