Outline
This is a renovation of Nishi-Nagahori Apartments, a high-rise urban housing complex completed in 1958 by the Japan Housing Corporation (at that time). This large-scale housing complex consists of three buildings (the middle, east, and west wings) arranged in a U-shape. The north wall of the 80-meter-long middle building consists of a series of vertical slit windows. As part of the seismic retrofitting, the common areas and residential units were also renovated to preserve the original design.
