IIDA ARCHISHIP STUDIO
Outline
This is a reconstruction of a housing complex constructed in 1951 by the Kanagawa Prefectural Housing Supply Corporation. 3 stories high, 62 units in total. The buildings are arranged in a ring with a wide frontage and a shallow depth, with a courtyard and a deck square in the center, and a meeting room facing the square. The front entrance is left unlocked so that local residents can enter and leave the building when events are held in the meeting room or as a temporary shelter in the event of a disaster. In the design process, the standard specifications of the public corporation were reviewed at the same time.
