This training center and guesthouse were planned adjacent to Daikin O de Ciel Tateshina, an employee welfare facility owned by Daikin Industries, a major manufacturer of air conditioners and chemicals, in Tateshina (design: Jiro Murobushi/Artec Architecture Laboratory). The building is located in a corner of a villa area at the foot of Mount Tateshina in the Yatsugatake mountain range. The site is surrounded by virgin forests of Japanese oak, birch, and Quercus crispula. We aimed to create an architecture that is close to this natural environment.
