Outline
Aiming to solve the housing shortage after the war and to restore the Horikawa shopping street Of the six Horikawa Danchi (Sawaragi-cho Danchi, Shimo-Tachiuri Danchi, Demizu Danchi No.1, No.2 and No.3, Kamichosha-machi Danchi) constructed between 1950 and 1953, we renovated Demizu Danchi No.1 and No.2 for earthquake resistance and facilities. In addition to barrier-free and updated facilities, the project included welfare facilities using vacant houses, two-unit single-family houses, a community café, and experimental houses where residents can do DIY. Mr. Jun Mitsui participated as a master architect.
