Outline
Extension and renovation of the School of Law Building No.3 in front of the main gate of the Hongo Campus of the University of Tokyo. The building, which consists of laboratories and a library, was built in 1927 by Shozo Uchida and extended on the roof in 1976 by Hisao Kayama Institute of Architecture. In this project, the outer perimeter of the existing low-rise building was preserved and restored, and a new high-rise building was added to the central courtyard of the building, inserted from above.
