This 11-unit cooperative house is located in Setagaya-ku, Tokyo. A mesh screen is placed around the perimeter of the balcony to create an environment that can be customized according to the seasons and surrounding conditions. In addition to plantings, the balconies are furnished with outdoor air-conditioning units, boilers, and clothes-drying equipment. Since the balcony is connected to the common corridor, it is possible to install an entrance.
