SPACESPACE
Outline
A wooden house with a maximum height of approximately 9.5 m, located in a neighborhood commercial district in Ibaraki City, Osaka Prefecture. East exterior view. The house consists of a first floor with a ceiling height of approximately 6 meters and a second floor with a higher ceiling. The ceiling height of the first floor is raised to create a buffer for the thermal environment and soundproofing, and to allow sunlight to penetrate into the interior, creating a distance between the upper and lower floors. The floor rises up like a hill, and the interior of the bathroom receives and collects light and heat from the window on the upper south side of the first floor, and stores the heat in the floor.
