SHIGERU AOKI ARCHITECT & ASSOCIATES
Outline
A 29-year-old building designed by the late Kisho Kurokawa was renovated and revitalized while the interior offices are still in operation. Steel earthquake-resistant braces are wrapped around the building like ribbons, and the building is covered with glass to maintain its durability. To prevent deterioration of the exterior walls, the existing building is packaged in galvanized steel.
