STUDIO ON SITE
Outline
This resort hotel is located on the coast of Hozu River near Togetsukyo Bridge in Arashiyama, Kyoto. The hotel is a reconstructed wooden inn that was used for about 100 years. An alley runs through the center of the site, and there is a "pond garden" and an "inner garden. The existing wooden shafts of the building are kept as they are, and the old wooden parts are washed and reused. All of the existing aluminum sashes were replaced with wooden sashes.
