House in isshiki

Yashima architect and associates
Outline
The house is built on a hillside with a mixed structure of concrete on the first floor and wood on the second floor. The garden, created on a sloping site, was selected for its deep-rooted plantings. Medium height trees and herbs native to the area were planted. The building is arranged to overlook the cherry trees across the street, and a large opening was created on the second floor to take advantage of the difference in elevation of the site to provide a view of the mountains and the cityscape.
