Outline
A 75-year-old one-story house on a cape on the miura peninsula was extended and reconstructed. the original l-shaped plan was extended by adding a long, narrow volume on the seaward side to create a geese-path shape, incorporating the rich natural environment while updating it to fit the modern living environment. the existing balustrade was dismantled and fitted with windows to create a sense of openness to the outside while maintaining a gradual continuity between the interior spaces.
