The site is located near a natural forest leading to chichibu/okutama, at the edge of a natural environment that has escaped development at the far end of a sprawling city. the site is located at the edge of nature, away from the sprawling development of the city. as something that "seems to be both an urban residence and a mountain hut, but is neither," how can we reconcile the structural form, which can be seen as both rational and irrational, the abstract space of the parallelepiped, and the back space required by the sloping roof? the aim is to create a house that is appropriate for this location and that can escape from the fixation of a primary meaning.
