The building is located in a district of the former castle town where samurai residences once stood side by side. two volumes are contained within a square plane, creating interior spaces of different qualities inside and outside the volumes. a large square roof covers the entire building, and a gate and a wall enclose the side of the building that abuts the site, creating a structure reminiscent of a samurai residence.
